Dress up days are some of the most memorable moments in early childhood. When a child walks through the door as their favorite Disney character, something wonderful happens: they carry themselves with a little extra confidence, they connect with their classmates over shared favorites, and they get to bring a piece of their imagination into the school day.
On Friday, February 27, Creative Kids is hosting Disney Dress Up Day. Kids can come dressed as their favorite Disney character or wear their Disney gear. There are no rules here: classic princesses, animated heroes, beloved animals, silly sidekicks. If it's Disney, it counts.
At Creative Kids, we believe play and imagination are inseparable from learning. Activities like dress up day give children space to step into a character, practice storytelling, and engage with their peers in a completely unstructured, joyful way. The teachers love seeing who each child chooses, because it often tells you a lot about what that child is drawn to, what they admire, and who they want to be.
Here are a few tips to make the day smooth and fun:
Keep it comfortable. Choose a costume or outfit your child can move around in easily. They'll be doing all their regular activities, so avoid anything with pieces that might fall off or get in the way during outdoor play.
Let your child pick. If they want to be Elsa for the fifth time, let them be Elsa. The joy is in the choice.
Disney gear counts. A Mickey Mouse shirt or a Moana backpack is perfect. The costume doesn't have to be elaborate to make the day special.
We look forward to seeing all the creativity and excitement that walks through our doors on February 27. It's going to be a great day.
