Behind the Scenes: What Our Teachers Do Every Single Day

Most families drop their children off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. What happens in between is something truly special, and this Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to pull back the curtain a little.
Our teachers at Creative Kids Manhattan Beach are not just managing a classroom. They are building the foundation of how your child sees the world.
Every morning, our teaching team arrives ready to meet each child exactly where they are. Some kids bound in with energy to spare. Others need a few minutes and a gentle check-in before they feel ready to join. Our teachers know the difference, and they respond with patience and care every single time.
Throughout the day, they are facilitating play that is also learning. They are asking the kinds of questions that get children thinking. They are noticing the small moments: the first time a child builds a block tower without getting frustrated, the day a shy child finally joins the circle, the look on a three-year-old's face when they figure something out on their own.
They are also communicating with you. Sending updates, documenting growth, and making sure you feel connected to what is happening in your child's day, even when you are not there to see it.
Teacher Appreciation Week is our chance to say thank you for all of it. The big things and the small things. The planned moments and the ones that happen in the in-between.
Our teachers give so much of themselves to our children every day. This week, we celebrate them.
