Crazy Hair Day at Creative Kids: Inspired by the One and Only Dr. Seuss

Every year around his birthday, we celebrate Dr. Seuss for inspiring a generation of readers. And at Creative Kids this year, he's also inspiring some seriously spectacular hair.
On Friday, March 20, we're hosting our monthly Crazy Hair Dress Up Day, and this month's theme is perfectly timed to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday and the wonderful, imaginative world he created. Kids are invited to arrive with their wildest hair and most colorful, mismatched, zany clothes.
Why does this matter? Because creativity and imagination are at the core of what we do at Creative Kids every day. When children are encouraged to show up as the most expressive, playful version of themselves, even if that means pigtails pointing in four directions, they practice creative thinking, self-expression, and confidence. All the things Dr. Seuss spent his career cheering for.
Tips to Get Ready for Crazy Hair Day
Go wild with accessories. Pipe cleaners, foam rollers, colorful hair spray, bows, clips, and headbands are your best friends. No elaborate skills required.
Comfortable counts. Make sure whatever style you create feels okay for your child to wear all day. Lots of running and playing is on the schedule.
Mismatched outfits are encouraged. Stripes with polka dots, neon with plaid, the more chaotic the better. Channel your inner Whovian.
Let the kids take the lead. Ask your child what they want their hair to look like. Their ideas are almost always better than anything you'd come up with.
March 20 is going to be a morning full of laughter, joy, and some truly unforgettable looks. We can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.
