Stories That Stick: What to Expect on Special Reader Day

Hello Creative Kids Families,

This Friday, October 3, our students will gather for a much-loved event: Special Reader Day. On this day,

parents become guest readers, sharing stories that delight and inspire.

What to Expect:

• Parents can bring a favorite storybook or choose one from our classroom library.

• After each reading, children may respond with drawings, songs, or simple literacy games.

• Our teaching team will guide the activities to help every child connect with the story.

To keep the day calm and meaningful for each classroom, we ask that parents sign up in advance if they’d

like to read. We’re excited to offer this opportunity regularly so every family will have a chance to join in.

When parents take part in the classroom, children often feel a deeper sense of pride, comfort, and

connection to their learning environment. It helps them see that school and home are working together,

and it builds confidence in ways that last beyond the event.

This event celebrates early literacy and supports the bond between home and school. It’s one more way

we help your child fall in love with reading.
