Programs

Preschool

Our core preschool curriculum comes to life each month through various interesting and child-friendly themes. The children explore these themes through letters, numbers, colors, shapes, science, art, music, learning centers, gardening, group discussions, cooking, story times, play, and so much more! By integrating the themes into all aspects of learning, we can elaborate on them in different ways. Here, we capture the unique learning style of each individual child and create a deeper understanding as the activities connect and reinforce one another, making them easier to grasp.

2 Year-Olds

Our two year-old program is designed to provide many opportunities for discovery through art, sensory exploration, science experiments, dramatic play, music, cooking and outdoor play.

In this program, we focus on teaching the foundational skills of learning to play well with others, communicating ideas and emotions, toilet training and following basic directions. We also introduce basic school concepts, such as number recognition and counting, letter recognition, observation and description, and expressing ideas and creativity through art. Additionally, children will be presented with many opportunities to develop their gross motor skills, through climbing, jumping and swinging, while also working on their fine motor skills, like the development of the pincer grip, which will be used later for writing, painting, and many practical life skills.

3 Year-Olds

Our three year-old program is full of hands-on learning and fun! Now armed with basic skills that allow them to play cooperatively, express their creativity and discuss various topics, our children are ready to take flight. Our curriculum engages our students' curiosity and aims to show them how fun learning can be through collaborative art projects, observing nature and scientific phenomena, messy art, gardening, cooking projects and sensory activities and lots of singing and dancing.

Children will be introduced to concepts such as patterning,  phonics, predicting and recording information, art history and culture and musical concepts. Here, we begin our formal writing program, Handwriting Without Tears, which is a hands-on, developmentally appropriate and FUN  method for introducing letter writing skills.

We continue helping our students hone their social-emotional skills by developing a greater respect for themselves and others, labeling and expressing emotions and solving problems in a group.

4 Year-Olds

Our four year-old (Pre-K) classes are geared towards preparing our students for their next adventure - Kindergarten! Our curriculum ensures that our students will be more than ready for the next stop on their academic journey, all while having tons of fun.  We help our students develop independence, empathy for others, and a  willingness to try new things.

Children continue learning through hands-on sensory activities, art, imaginary play and group activities, while also becoming comfortable with more formal curriculum programs.  Children in this age group will begin reading basic words and advance their handwriting skills in our writing program, Handwriting Without Tears. Children begin to master basic mathematical concepts like adding and subtracting, patterning and comparing sizes and measurements. Here, we also introduce our formal science curriculum, Science for Little Learners, where children learn through a variety of engaging, hands-on activities and experiments.
